Liverpool are set to battle it out with Manchester City for Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes as both the clubs are keen on signing the player before the start of the campaign.
The 22-year-old’s excellent displays during the loan spell at Empoli last season caught the eye of many top clubs and the Reds and City are keen on signing the player this summer.
Liverpool have already signed seven new players to the squad this summer and the Reds manager has not shown any signs of stopping with the transfers this summer. On the other hand, Guardiola has brought in eight new players in his squad with the latest arrival being John Stones from Everton.
Further, both the clubs may face competition from Bundesliga side Schalke and further Serie A side Juventus too are interested in signing the young playmaker, ready to splash the cash after Paul Pogba’s £89m move back to Manchester United.
