The summer transfer window has been disappointing for Arsenal as their various rumored link-ups failed to materialize and this time it is Shokdran Mustafi.
The Gunners have been looking to sign Mustafi for some time now, however the deal has stalled and if reports are to be believed then the player is currently in talks with other clubs one of them being Liverpool, who beat Arsenal in their first at home in their opening game. The Gunners may be losing out on a vital transfer target to Liverpool this summer.
The Gunner’s manager Arsene Wenger has made his intentions of signing a defender and a striker clear since Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker both got hit by serious injuries, however there have been no progress in their pursuit of players.
And now Liverpool have joined into the pursuit to sign Valencia central defender Shokdran Mustafi, and there are better chances of the player moving to the Anfield as Arsene Wenger is reluctant to meet the player’s £30m price tag.
