Liverpool are a team on a roll. Under the management of the German gaffer, Jürgen Klopp, they are enjoying a quality time in the league and it is safe to say that if they continue to build on their form, the top four finish would not be a distant dream. The Red half of Merseyside are unbeaten in six games in all competition and will be looking to add more to their tally by beating Swansea at Liberty Stadium this weekend.

The south Wales club have observed a horrendous start to their new season as they have won just one game so far. Looking at Liverpool’s standpoint, this will be an easy fixture – as Swansea are struggling and Liverpool are on fire – but nothing is certain in the Premier League till the final whistle.

So, here is the predicted lineup for Liverpool that could face Swansea this weekend:

Goalkeeper: Loris Karius-

“He’ll play against Swansea again. I’ve already spoken to the goalkeepers and they know it.”

This is what the manager said a couple of days ago. Karius was handed his debut during the side’s clash against Derby, and he went on to make an appearance against Hull as well. But on both occasions, he wasn’t really tested, so the manager is perfectly right on his point.

Defence: Clyne; Lovren; Matip; Milner-

Clyne will be a sure starter for the side as no one has been able to challenge the Englishman for the spot for a long time. the former Englishman though has looked a dizzy at times this season, but his presense is still important for the Reds.

The centre back pairing is surely going to be a different one this time as Dejan Lovren is fit to start the fixture. The former Southampton employee missed the last Premier League encounter due to a viral infection, but he is now available for the selection.

His partner in crime would surely be the former Schalke man, Joel Matip. He did struggle in terms of fitness during the initial games of the league, but since then he has improved a lot and cemented his spot in the starting XI.

Furthermore, the former Manchester City talisman – James Milner – will be Klopp’s left back. The midfielder + left-back already has three goals to his name and has been a vital cog for the manager, regardless of playing in the defence.

Midfield Trio: Henderson; Wijnaldum; Lallana-

The midfielders are settling their lives pretty well under the German. Their presence both on and off the ball has been worth praising so far and they will be looking forward to replicate the same form for the rest of the season.

Henderson will be retaining his defensive role – something he was not expected to do during the initial games of the season. The skipper has completed most number of passes in the League so far, as he is about to touch a figure of 500.

firmino

Wijnaldum took his time to adapt the new role under Klopp, but the Dutchman looks a bit settled now. Even though he has failed to mark his presence so far, his tireless running has impressed the spectators.

Lallana, on the other hand, looks rejuvenated. Three goals, three assists in six games is a really impressive number and he will be looking to add more to his tally.

Attacking Trio: Mane; Firmino; Coutinho-

Any doubt about it?

Swansea’s back line is going to have a rough day and that’s for sure. The trio is known for their speed, tenacity and the quality of their finishing.

Mane, who has three goals to his tally so far, will be looking to exploit the spaces on the field. Unarguably, he has been the best signing for Liverpool this term and the player himself will be looking to prove his worth.

Firmino will be taking his central spot as usual and Coutinho will be looking to haunt the opponents with his pace and trickery. The trio has been working wonders this season and their work rate has been worth praising. Talking about the pressing, Liverpool’s ability to do the same can be seen from the attacking line itself, and even when the team is on the back foot, the trio never looks shy to track back whenever the situations demands it.
