Liverpool and Arsenal target Mauro Icardi may soon be out on his way to one of the major clubs in Europe. The Inter Milan captain has irked the fanatical ultras of Inter Milan with a revelation he made in his book.

Icardi is known to be a player who creates a lot of controversies but this latest issue could be the end of his career in Inter. The 23-year-old wrote about an event where he became a hero for his teammates as he stood up to an ultra leader who had torn a jersey made by a child to throw it at the striker.

The Curva Nord, Inter’ s most vocal and biggest ultra group, hit out at the striker. As reported by Football Italia, the ultras were not best pleased.

“Icardi, as far as we are concerned, you’re finished.

“We merely ask for effort and honesty, while he depicts us as threatening figures who gravitate around the club asking for who knows what, so evidently something is wired wrong in his head.

“An individual like this does not deserve the captain’s armband.”

More harsh words for the Argentine

The Curva Nord even called Icardi a clown and asked him to remove the armband.

“He talks about helping little kids, then invents an incident that never happened to make himself seem superior to us, as if it weren’t obvious to all that we are the only Curva that helps kids design the choreography in the stands.

“There are no more excuses. We considered him young, a bit of an idiot (like many), but deep down a good lad. Instead this is an individual who cannot be allowed to wear the Inter armband. It’s not for us, but Inter simply don’t deserve this.

“You are finished with us. You’re done. TAKE THE ARMBAND OFF, YOU CLOWN. Yes, that is what we demand.”

A fine start to the campaign

Icardi did have a great start to the campaign and has scored six goals from eight games. The Argentine, who is rated at €55.1 Million by CIES Football Observatory even has a couple of assists to his name for Inter in Serie A. Inter though have been incredibly inconsistent this season and it would not be a surprise if Icardi is sent out. Even legend Javier Zanetti has stated that action could be taken against the current Inter captain.

Liverpool could do with a striker that is hard working and full of energy. Icardi is also great when it comes to finishing and is one of the deadliest strikers in the world. The problem would be the fact that he is a controversial figure and Klopp might not want to bring in someone that can disrupt what he is going through at the moment.

Reds could miss out on talented striker

Another striker linked with a move to Liverpool is Uruguayan striker Joaquin Ardaiz. The 17-year-old has been watched by scouts from the club but the youngster is set to move to a smaller club in hopes of gaining a lot of first team experience.

As quoted by various media outlets, the youngster does want to play in England but it might not happen at the moment.

“I like Chelsea and Liverpool. I love the Premier League and want to play here,” he said last summer.

“People have said I have similar characteristics to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“I’ve been working very hard on the physical side of my game to get to England.”
