Liverpool have been busy in the transfer market this season as they brought in a number of first team players. But a lot of work is going behind the doors it seems as the Reds are preparing to make a move for Swedish sensation Alexander Isak, who is called as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to the reports from Liverpool Echo.

The Reds have been constantly linked with a move for the 17-year-old and the AIK striker has already scored nine goals in 21 games this season for his club. The youngster broke into the first team of the club at the age of 17 and it is claimed by his club that 122 scouts had recently come to see him.

While it is a guarantee that the striker will not remain at the Swedish club for longer, he could be the next signing for Jurgen Klopp. The German manager has always preferred young players in his side and he seems to be building a great group of youngsters who can come and perform in the first team when given the chance.

Klopp had also stated that he wants to give more youngster a chance and there are also plans to combined the first team and academy players to help them get better. Isak is certainly a player to keep an eye out for in the future.

Reds in for midfielder once again?

According to Metro, there is another player that the Reds have been linked with recently and that is Geoffrey Kondogbia of Inter Milan. The combative Frenchman has been a reported target of Jurgen Klopp for a while and with Inter struggling in the Serie A this season, Kondogbia could be prised away from the Italian giants.

The 23-year-old has not been able to break into Inter’s first team this season, despite a lot of promise and has played in only five games all season. The midfielder would be a costly signing for Klopp and it does seem to be a player that Liverpool does not need at the moment.

The Reds already have a lot of quality in the heart of their midfield with Georginio Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson. Emre Can is also waiting for his chance on the bench and bringing in a costly player would not make a lot of sense, given that Liverpool have great chemistry at the moment.

The Merseyside club could still move for Isak at the start of the next transfer window but a move for Kondogbia does seem to be unlikely, barring a long-term injury to any midfielder for the Reds.
