Mario Balotelli might not have fit into the Liverpool scheme of things well but the Italian has found a new lease on life at Nice. The former AC Milan star was a flop at Anfield and even stated that both Brendan Rodgers and Jurgen Klopp did not have the greatest of impressions on the striker.
Balo scored just four goals in his only season at Liverpool and he did term his move to the club as his biggest mistake. The Italian has now scored seven goals in eight games for Nice, which has seen them climb to the top of the French league, ahead of PSG as well.
The Italian did state that one Liverpool player should leave the club and join him at Nice.
“I’ve talked to him,” Balotelli told Telefoot, per French football writer Matt Spiro. “What a waste! He should leave Liverpool. He should come here.”
Sakho, who is rated at €20.4 Million by the CIES Football Observatory, has been linked with a move away from the Reds in January. The 26-year-old defender has not played for Liverpool this season and was even sent back from the preseason camp in the United States of America.
The French defender also had a go at the club but he has been playing for the U23s and it does seem that his time is up at the club.

There have been many reports linking Sakho with a return to France. The former PSG man was brought to England from the French capital but clubs such as Lille are reported to be interested in his signing.
Moving to France does seem to be the best option but there are reports which are claiming that the 26-year-old could remain in England as Leicester City and West Ham want to strengthen their defence.
Sakho would be a great signing for Lucian Favre as he has turned the French club around. Credit must also be given to the former Borussia Monchengladbach coach as he seems to be getting the best out of Balotelli this season, which is not the easiest thing to do.
The French club could be a perfect place for the out of favour Sakho. He still is one of the strongest defenders in world football and returning home would make sense for him as he looks to get back to his best.
It is a certainty that the centre-back has no future at Liverpool and the sooner his situation is resolved, the better it will be for him and Liverpool. Hopefully, the manager will let him go in January and a permanent solution can be found.
