Twitter Reacts To Southampton Holding Liverpool To A 0-0 Draw

Liverpool missed out a glorious chance to open up a gap at the top of the Premier League as they were held to a 0-0 draw against Southampton. Jurgen Klopp had spoken about the tie being a tough one and even though the Reds dominated, they could not break a resolute Southampton defence.

The Premier League leaders were at fault too as they had numerous chances to break the deadlock but failed to do so. The Reds did keep a clean sheet and a point away from home against a decent Southampton side after the international break is not a bad result. But with the sheer chances they had, Liverpool should have won the game easily.

After Saturday’s games, Liverpool stayed on top thanks to the number of goals scored but this was an opportunity lost. Twitter had a field day after the game and here are some of the best responses from the social media network.

The Reds will hope for three points in their next fixture and if they do play in this manner, it surely will come. The international break is always tough to deal with but a draw is better than a loss.
