Liverpool have been looking for a new midfielder and they have targeted the likes of Mahmoud Dahoud and Christian Pulisic in recent months. But the two players are not budging from their clubs; well at least the management is trying to ensure they do not leave on the cheap.
Jurgen Klopp did receive a boost from another midfielder playing in the Bundesliga and that is Allan Rodrigues. The 19-year-old is actually a Liverpool player but has been away on loan for a number of years. Currently playing for Hertha BSC Berlin, the Brazilian hopes to play for Jurgen Klopp in the near future.
“I am loaned for a year. Of course, my goal is to play for Liverpool,” he said.
“What happens, if I do not get the necessary number of games to get a work permit for England, I’ll have to see.
“Without the Europa League, these games are more difficult to achieve.”
The youngster expects Liverpool to do very well in this season and even praised the style of play adopted by the side this season.
“In general, I feel very good at Hertha. Jurgen Klopp makes Liverpool better is clear.
“Liverpool is now playing Klopp football – with lots of energy.
“The team attacks, the opponent hardly rests. They can be champions.”
A tough time for the youngster at Liverpool
The Premier League side had signed Allan from Internacional from Brazil back in 2015 but he has been a journeyman as he looks to get his work permit to play in England. The 19-year-old though has been on loan at SJK and Sint-Truden.
The attacking midfielder also picked up the Veikkausliiga with SJK, the Finnish club. Allan is known for his play in the heart of midfield, though he can play up in attack as well, the 19-year-old is known for his passing range and deep lying playmaking ability.
The one thing that does pop out is that he can play in a range of positions and his dynamic nature is another positive for Jurgen Klopp to look forward to. The problem is with his work permit and the quicker Liverpool can solve this issue, the better it will be for him.
Allan did score a few goals during his time with SJK but he hasn’t really set the world on fire at Hertha. If he can show his ability in the Bundesliga and star there, Liverpool might have their next midfield star that they have been searching for so desperately and even save millions in the future.
