Liverpool exorcised some of the demons from the last two Premier League games with a convincing 3-0 victory over Middleborough. The Reds had seen their title charge suffer thanks to a loss at the hands of Bournemouth and a draw against West Ham but this performance brought back some belief for the fans.
Jurgen Klopp made one big change in the side that had to be spoken about and that was Simon Mignolet starting in place of the under fire Loris Karius. The German keeper was dropped after getting hammered by many pundits and fans and the Belgian keeper did pretty well, though he didn’t have a lot to do in the game.
A brilliant performance by Adam Lallana ensured the Reds claimed three points as the Englishman scored twice and assisted Divock Origi for a goal. The win meant Liverpool went up to second in the league standings ahead of Arsenal but are still six points behind Chelsea.
As the Reds prepare for a Merseyside derby next, we share the best Twitter updates from the win at the Riverside as a few records were broken.

Tremendous performance from Ragnar Klavan tonight. Authoritative and commanding at the heart of Liverpool’s defence.
