Liverpool Transfer News – Reds Agree Fee For Jack Bearne

Liverpool are set to add another youngster in their side with the Daily Mirror claiming that Notts County are willing to sell one of their best talents in Jack Bearne.

The U18 star for the League Two club could be signed for as little as £150,000 as the side faces a lot of financial difficulties. Notts County have reportedly been issued a wind-up order by the HMRC and their debts are reported to be more than £500,000.

15-year-old Bearne still has a long way to go before he can get into the first team for the Reds but his sale should help Notts County, hopefully, avoid a winding up order.

Bearne is one of the brightest talents at the club and when he did make an appearance for the U18 team, Dan Leiver, the head of academy coaching had this to say:

“One great positive from today was introducing 14-year-old Jack Bearne into the team.

“Jack is a fantastic talent, which I’ve known since I arrived at this club nearly seven years age. Watching him develop has been a pleasure.”

Jurgen Klopp is known for giving chances to young players at the club but Bearne will have to wait for his chance as he still needs time to develop.

Another youngster in a talented side

The youngster should slot straight into the developmental squad for now but the Reds have a number of signings looking to break into the first team already. Klopp has given chances to a number of players since joining the club such as Kevin Stewart, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Brad Smith, Ben Woodburn and a few others.

But Bearne needs to heed the advice that he does have to perform from day one if he wants to make it big at Liverpool. The 15-year-old will certainly have the best coaches to work with him but Bearne has to put in the effort.

Stagnation will lead to him being sold sooner or later such as Brad Smith or even Jordon Ibe saw, but for now, all he has to do is concentrate on his football. The youngster is being tipped for a lot of big things but we have seen a number of stars fall by the wayside after breaking into the first team.

The deal is still a bit off for now and paying £150,000 for a starlet isn’t out of the blue these days in football. The Reds could help Notts County out with this deal but it is a long way to go before we can see this deal working out.
