Jurgen Klopp certainly has turned things around at Liverpool after taking over from Brendan Rodgers. The German manager is one of the reasons why the Reds are actually in the top four this season and are playing a brilliant brand of football.
There have been many plaudits for the former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund manager and one former Liverpool star has described him in three words. Legendary player and manager Kenny Dalglish was speaking to Sky Sports presenter Jim White and stated that Klopp was “a special breed”

Jurgen leading the charge for a trophy
Liverpool were struggling under Brendan Rodgers and the Northern Irishman was replaced after a few games last season. Klopp took over and led the Reds to two cup finals, which they lost. There were signs that Klopp was turning them around as they picked up brilliant victories against Borussia Dortmund and also against Manchester City last season.
This season has been more of the same and the Reds haven’t lost to any of the current top six. While there are questions about the ability to control games against the weaker sides in the Premier League, the German is still working on the project.
Liverpool have one part of the team set and that is the attack. The Reds are the top scorers in the Premier League and this is one reason why they sit third in the league table. The Merseyside club is just seven points behind Chelsea, who lead the table, and have a number of crunch fixtures to play against the big sides.
Jurgen Klopp needed time before he was able to win trophies with Borussia Dortmund and he had to do it against the best club in Germany, Bayern Munich.
The Reds have to face Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham at home and that would be extremely important if they are to haul the Blues down. The Merseyside club also have the FA Cup third round replay against Plymouth coming up soon and Klopp could be looking to play the kids in that competition again.
Jurgen Klopp also has to prepare his side for the second leg of the semi-final against Southampton in the EFL Cup. The Reds did reach the final of the tournament last season but will have to turn around a 1-0 loss from the first leg.
Things do look good for the Reds and if they can play in the same attacking verve they had in the first half of the season, Merseyside could see a few trophies coming in and that would certainly make Klopp one of the most popular managers ever at the club.
