Liverpool fans don’t take the English Newspapers lightly and when they share their rather absurd transfer rumours it is no surprise that they are taken to task. The Reds have been linked with a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but it is the price point for the Gabon star that has left a few fans a little-worked up.
One report from the Sun, claims that Jurgen Klopp will have to fight it out against Pep Guardiola for the signing for the Borussia Dortmund star but stating that the deal could be concluded for £40 million doesn’t seem to be quite right.
The Daily Mail, however, put a proper valuation on a player that has been on fire for the Bundesliga club and has scored 101 goals in 167 games with £70 million being the starting point for the 27-year-old to leave Dortmund.
One thing is certain and that is Liverpool would be offloading Daniel Sturridge at the start of next season and he could be used as a makeweight for the deal. Even if he is not sold to Dortmund, the money from the transfer certainly will help Liverpool rebuild for next season.
