Liverpool could be given a huge boost in their battle to sign Manchester City’s Joe Hart. The 29-year-old Englishman has been a target for many clubs in the Premier League after he was shipped off to Torino for a season-long loan deal.
Manchester City signed Claudio Bravo at the start of the season and have Willy Caballero and it seems that Pep Guardiola is willing to let go of the goalkeeper at the start of next season, according to reports from the Sun.
The report claims that the Spaniard is also willing to let go of the keeper to Premier League rivals as long as they stump up £20 million. That certainly isn’t a lot of money in this day of football and Hart does have a lot of experience in the Premier League with City.
Liverpool is one club that needs a good, quality goalkeeper and Joe Hart might tick all the boxes for Reds fans. The pairing of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have not done enough to show that they can be the number one keeper for the Reds. Jurgen Klopp has flip-flopped between the pair and now it seems that Mignolet will finish the season as the number one keeper for the Reds. There have been reports claiming that the Belgian will be sold next season and Karius could be given more time to show that he can step up and perform for the Reds.
The young German was brought from Mainz at the start of the campaign and after a shaky start; he cost the Reds important points against Bournemouth and West Ham before he was dropped as well to bring in Mignolet.
It isn’t just Liverpool who want to sign the City goalkeeper with Arsenal also looking for a replacement for Petr Cech, who hasn’t had the greatest of seasons either.
This does play into the hands of Manchester City as they would be able to sell their Premier League winning keeper to the highest bidder; the only thing to wait for is to see which team would be willing to give the 29-year-old a chance.
