Liverpool Transfer Frenzy: Reds Looking To Sign 5 or 6 Players Including This £75m Duo

Liverpool will look to sign Lacazette in the summer.

Liverpool are planning to sign five or six players in the summer if they miss out on a champions league spot, as the club are determined to put on an improved showing next season. According to Daily Mirror, the Reds are eyeing to move for five to six players, including Lyon’s £60m rated Alexandre Lacazette who has been in phenomenal form this season.

Klopp’s men have looked fatigued in recent weeks and a trip to Spain after the 2-0 victory over Spurs helped the team ease off a little bit but they did look off the pace in the game against Leicester. The Reds have been linked with a number of players and summer transfer activity is looking imminent.

However, the names of the players have not been revealed and only Lacazette seems like a serious target. They have also been linked with Mahrez and it appears Liverpool do really have their targets in mind.

Naby Keita is another player whose name has constantly come up and he looks like a sensible option given that Liverpool play with 3 central midfielders. The £15.30m rated Guinean is a complete midfielder and will play a vital role as he can provide some much needed versatility.

The Reds have somehow managed to play this season without an established left-back and they did well to play James Milner there but it is not the permanent solution. It is possible that they may even try and sign a left-back who can challenge Milner and Moreno.

Liverpool have only 2 wins in 2017 so far and it has been a really unexpected dip in form since the turn of the year.

Given the current scenario, a top-class striker looks like an absolute necessity as Firmino, Sturridge and Origi have failed to establish themselves as centre forwards. It makes sense for Liverpool to pursue Lacazette, who has 27 goals in 31 appearances this season. Liverpool are joint-top in the number of goals scored in the league this season, along with Arsenal, but they don’t have an established striker in their ranks and this could probably haunt them next season.

A striker, a winger to compete with Mane and provide some cover, an established left-back and some strengthening in the central midfield area, could mean business by the Merseysdie outfit.
