Liverpool Transfer News
Liverpool and Arsenal are chasing for the signature of one of the best defensive midfielders in the French league. Grzegorz Krychowiak moved to the French champions Paris Saint-Germain at the start of the season but has barely featured for the side.
The Polish international was one of the best players for Sevilla before a big-money move to France but he has not been able to find a starting spot in the team. Even under former manager Unai Emery, Krychowiak has struggled to perform and only has 11 Ligue1 appearances for the side.
The defensive midfielder is known for his ability to tackle and intercept passes but has not been able to show enough of that this season. It is no surprise that the 27-year-old is being linked with a move away from the club and earlier in the season both Liverpool and Arsenal were in the running for his signature.
Next season could be the perfect time for the duo to pounce on one of the best players during his spell in Sevilla but PSG would be looking to get back the £34-million they paid for the midfielder.
Reports claim that Krychowiak is willing to fight it out at French capital to for first-team football and but the Premier League clubs could prove to be an opportunity too good to turn down for the Polish international. While the Reds and the Gunners could use some steel in the heart of the park, they do face a lot of competition from Inter Milan as well.
While Krychowiak would be a great signing for most clubs, he might not be the perfect fit for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp’s playing style. The club have already been linked with a number of Bundesliga talents and it would not be a surprise if Klopp does move for one of his countrymen.
Mahmoud Dahoud is a player that is heavily linked with the Reds but it seems that Naby Keita from RB Leipzig is a new name on the list and the Merseyside club could do with either of them joining in the summer.
The Polish star might not be moving to the Premier League after all and this could be a ploy to get more teams interested in him. Whatever happens, it is a guarantee that he will leave PSG unless they lose someone like a Marco Verratti or Adrien Rabiot.
