Liverpool and Manchester City played out an entertaining and hard-fought 1-1 draw at the Etihad to keep their dreams of ending the season in the top four. While the real winners of the day were Manchester United and Tottenham with their respective wins, a point for both sides at the Etihad isn’t the worst result.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had defeated City earlier in the season 1-0 and they took the lead in the second half after James Milner struck a penalty against his old side. It was City that had dominated the proceedings prior to that and got back level thanks to a great finish from close range by Sergio Aguero.
Though both sides had chances to win it, Adam Lallana and Aguero both had incredible misses late on in the game, the 1-1 draw was a fair result though City would claim they had dropped points after their initial spell of dominance.

Liverpool only have Everton & Southampton as the remaining top half clubs left to play. Need to make the most of these final fixtures. #LFC

Probably Can’s best game for Liverpool. Really impressive performance.

Draw at City is good. Liverpool deserved a point and with better finishing could have got all 3. The Reds march on. #LFC #YNWA LFCfamily

Good result, could have won with that Lallana chance. No more games against the top 6 sides now. Emre Can my man of the match.

Post match comm:
• Emre Can fucking bossed it.
• Mané is exhilarating.
• Lallana should’ve done scored but had a game to be proud of.— Mike (@MikeMongie) March 19, 2017

Emre Can’s best performance of the season today and one of his best for Liverpool. Does he deserve that new deal?

Lastly, Emre Can was brilliant once again. 23-years-old & will only get better with time. Offering him a new deal shouldn’t be in question.

Forget passing.
Emre Can actually runs with a football.
Henderson can’t even stand still with with the ball without panicking.

Fair play to Emre Can. Another terrific performance. Need to tie him up to a new contract as soon as possible.
