Borussia Dortmund Youngster With 7 Goals, 16 Assists High On Liverpool’s Wish List

Ousmane Dembele Has Been Earning Rave Reviews At Dortmund

Liverpool have been interested in a number of strikers, or we are to believe, and one more rising star in the Bundesliga is being linked with a move to Anfield, according to the Daily Mirror.

Ousmane Dembele has had a great season for Borussia Dortmund. The French international has scored seven goals and assisted 16 more this term for the Germans.

The 19-year-old is known for his pace and finishing ability and his performances have even caught the eye of some of the bigger clubs in the world with Barcelona interested in acquiring the former Rennes man.

Dembele has forged a great partnership with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus this season and has grown from strength to strength.

The Mirror report claims that Jurgen Klopp will be looking to beat the other clubs that want to sign Dembele up and he isn’t the only player from the Bundesliga that the German manager would be targeting.

There have been rumours that the likes of Julian Brandt, Christian Pulisic and Mahmoud Dahoud are set to move to the club. With Dembele, Liverpool would certainly have a lot of pace and creativity down the flanks, and that would fit into the current playing style that Klopp has deployed at the club.

The trouble for Klopp would be convincing the French striker to move to Liverpool. While Dortmund are more or less guaranteed Champions League football season after season, Liverpool are still looking to make it to the top four this season.

That could be the one thing that hinders any dreams that Klopp has of bringing talent to Anfield. The Reds have to get on a winning run and secure a Champions League place for next season. They do sit in fourth place but the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal have games on them and could overtake the Reds.

Should Liverpool make it to the Champions League, it wouldn’t just be Dembele but a lot of other players that join Klopp’s revolution as he looks to bring the glory days back to the side.
