The last time these two sides met, it was a late Sadio Mane goal that gave the Reds a 1-0 win at Goodison Park and Liverpool fans will be happy if they win by the same scoreline once again.

Derbies don’t really end up with great flowing football and it could all come down to one chance that should fall to the feet of the right player, something that Liverpool were fortunate with last time.

Liverpool have their issues with Daniel Sturridge being be a major doubt for the game. The Englishman hasn’t been in the best of form and his fitness has let the side down this season. Everton might not be in the running for a Champions League position but Ronald Koeman would want to prove his side have made considerable gains on their neighbours.
