Liverpool were held to a frustrating draw against AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday night. The final scoreline was 2-2 after goals from Coutinho, Origi, Afobe and King shared the spoils for the teams.
It was a huge point gained for Bournemouth while it was a disappointing result for the Reds. Although Manchester City were handed a defeat and Manchester United were held for a draw as well, Klopp might feel that they should have held on to the lead to seal 3 points, which would have virtually made it impossible for the teams below them to catch up.
However, Liverpool will be motivated to set things right and maintain consistency to seal the Champions League spot for next season, in what is turning out to be an intense race for top-4 finish.
The fans did not seem to be happy with the result and felt that the Reds could have got more from this fixture as Bournemouth came into the game on the back of a poor run of form.
The Liverpool supporters took the social media to voice out their concern and it was not happy scenes on Twitter.
I’m normally an optimistic person. But, Liverpool will miss out on Champions league football this season to Arsenal by 2 points! United 6th.

Can we stop saying ‘7 cup finals to go’ cos Liverpool, Mr Klopp and cup finals isn’t a good mix.

@TheKingWithJays Sloppy 2nd goal and ultimately should do better. Teams around us will drop points and we will be in top 4 end of season, WE ARE LIVERPOOL!!

Poor Liverpool. Need to be clinical. Don’t understand change of formation. Phil for Studge surely. If Matip was fit enough for bench
— James Cole (@JimmyCole1) April 6, 2017
@Carra23 @LFC Matip is average at best but liverpool fans build him up as if he is quality. He doesn’t attack the ball and isn’t commanding around the box

Dear Liverpool FC – I don’t know what I ever did to you to deserve this. 24 years of unconditional love and you continue to break my heart.

@joel_archie Is the opposing team happier vs attacking Liverpool or vs a defending Liverpool. I say every team would rather face a defending Liverpool

Klavan should not play for Liverpool again, not good enough. Sell him in the summer and buy two good centre backs with good fitness records.
