Roberto Firmino

Liverpool’s preparations to face West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns seem to have taken a bit of a hit as Roberto Firmino did not take part in full training.

The Liverpool Echo was on hand to report that the Brazilian forward didn’t complete the training session but instead jogged around the outside of the pitches alongside a fitness coach.

The Brazilian then had a word with Jurgen Klopp and Andreas Kornmayer before heading off. That is a worry for the Reds as they need to continue winning in the Premier League and have a tough task on hand as they take on the Baggies.

Tony Pulis does have a decent record against the Reds and will be looking to throw a spanner in the works. The Baggies posed a decent threat for the Reds when they faced each other at Anfield and Liverpool only squeaked through with a 2-1 win.

Firmino din’t play in the first half in the last game against Stoke City but had a huge role to play as the Merseyside club came out with a win.

Jurgen Klopp brought out the attacker at the start of the second half and Firmino scored a wonderful goal that gave the Reds all three points. Losing out on the Brazilian could have a major say in how the game goes as the former Hoffenheim man does bring a lot of energy to the front-line of Liverpool.

The onus of the attack and creating goals could fall on the shoulders of Philippe Coutinho again and the Brazilian was another player that did not start against the Potters. It was Coutinho that started the revival in the second half at the Bet365 Stadium and the former Inter Milan man will have to be at his best if the Reds are to claim all three points against West Brom.
