Liverpool are still reeling from a rather embarrassing 2-1 loss against Crystal Palace at Anfield. The win was a third in a row for the Eagles at the ground and ensured Sam Allardyce finally had a win to cherish away from home against the Reds.
An old boy, in Christian Benteke, scored both the goals for the side and didn’t celebrate much but it could still be seen that it was a veiled message to the Liverpool hierarchy as to their decision to sell him backfired.
There was another player on the bench for Palace who was not eligible to play against the Reds but it seems he infuriated the fans of the club. Mamadou Sakho is on loan at the London club and sat out the game at Anfield.
Sakho still celebrated the win and more or less sealed his fate at the club. There were a few fans that were aghast at the Frenchman while a few were contemplating the fact that Sakho was our best defender and was out on loan, which is a major problem at the moment.
We share the best updates from Twitter as the Liverpool fans are unsure of what to do with Sakho now.
We’ve got bigger things to worry about than Sakho and Benteke having a moment.

Can’t believe Sakho getting stick for showing his teammate respect for his goal. What should he do? Sit there and cry when benteke came over?

Life under FSG has made the fanbase thrifty with everything, now we cant afford to be angry at sakho & the result, its 1 or the other

While I can understand why other people may be annoyed, I’m not particularly bothered by Sakho’s behaviour on the touchline. #lfc

I couldn’t care less about Sakho’s cringey handshake, I’m more concerned that the team have leaked more than a goal a game for 5 years.

If Liverpool sold Mamadou Sakho for £30m this summer and signed Virgil van Dijk and Michael Keane for £70m, would you be happy? #LFC

So looks like Sakho is guilty of being thick and acting without thinking
Wow, who saw that coming

I think the Sakho stuff yesterday was most probably orchestrated by Fat Sam trying get in Klopp’s head a bit.

Bizarre Sakho was even allowed on #CPFC bench at Anfield given his ineligibility. Smacked of trying too hard to get in Klopp & #LFC‘s face

Mamadou Sakho, Proud Citizen of the “Liverpool Country”? Think we should keep him away from our club now. pic.twitter.com/eZsL478nXZ
