Emre CanLiverpool got their chase for a top-four place back on track with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Watford. The Reds needed a wonder goal from Emre Can and had to hold on in the final minutes to ensure they got the 3 points.
The Merseyside club opened up a three-point lead over Manchester City, though the Blues have a game in hand. They also are now 4 points ahead of Manchester United, who also have played a game less than the Reds.
Liverpool couldn’t close the game out with a second goal and needed a bit of luck in the end as Sebastian Prodl’s thunderbolt cannoned off the bar. With 3 games to go, Liverpool can seal a Champions League spot if they win their remaining games and the fans will expect Jurgen Klopp’s boys to finish the season on a high.
The fans were delighted with the win and took Twitter to express their joy in grabbing a really important win under difficult circumstances.

Our centre half playing a one-two in the opposition box in the 88th minute, epitomises Liverpool’s defence.

Can scored Liverpool’s 71st league goal of the season. LFC have only scored more twice in the PL era (77 in 2008/09, 101 in 2013/14).
