Liverpool’s plans for a summer of important signings could begin with a player from La Liga. According to Spanish Publication, Sport.es, former Barcelona starlet Sandro Ramirez is in a tug of war between three Premier League sides amongst other La Liga teams.

Sandro Ramirez had joined Malaga at the start of the season and he has turned his career around after a slow start at the Nou Camp. The player has scored 15 goals from 28 games this season and is on a great streak of form with six goals from just six games recently.

The 21-year-old apparently has a release clause of just £5.1 million which will be activated in the summer. Of course, there will be a price escalation when a number of teams are after him but Sandro is a player that does have a bright future should he continue in his rich vein of form.

The Spaniard had been linked with a move to Tottenham at the start of this season and Spurs seem to be leading the race for the forward. However, Liverpool and their Merseyside rivals Everton are also tracking the star in the making, and are ready to table a bid for the former Barca man.

The other clubs looking to take the player away from Malaga are Sevilla, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid. And it will be interesting to see if the Spaniard does ditch his current side in the summer and move to England or remain in Spain.

The Kop Times Verdict

Sandro would be a decent option to have for Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs but he doesn’t seem to be the player that can do well in the high pressing system that Liverpool employ. This report could be one way of hiking the value of the player as a number of clubs are interested in signing him in the summer.

Liverpool do have a lot of work to do when it comes to their transfer strategy in the summer. But it seems unlikely that Sandro will be playing in the Red of Liverpool next season.
