Andre Wisdom’s future at Liverpool could be coming to an end as the Liverpool Echo claims that the right-back could leave the Merseyside giants in the summer.

The Englishman has spent a major chunk of the last four seasons out on loan and has represented Norwich, West Bromwich Albion and Derby, and is currently plying his trade at Red Bull Salzburg.

The 23-year-old is close to picking up the Austrian Bundesliga title with his current club but he reportedly wants to remain in England ahead of next season.

Liverpool don’t have a slot for the player in their side as the likes of Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner have done well at the back and even Joe Gomez seems to be a decent option to have next season.

Wisdom was once expected to become a regular for the Reds but he hasn’t been able to continue his development and fulfil his potential. The report claims that the Merseyside club will be looking at around £4.2 million for Wisdom.

Derby is the club that is leading the race for the Englishman and would be looking to reunite with a player that impressed with them during the 2013-14 season. Wisdom too would be looking to reignite his career in England and a move to the Rams wouldn’t be the worst option for him.

Wisdom would be just another player from the Liverpool academy who gets sold for the right price. We have seen the likes of Brad Smith and Jordon Ibe also being sold, despite being some of the brightest players from the Liverpool academy in recent years.

The Englishman had joined Liverpool back in 2008 from Bradford City and did have a purple patch when he got to play for the Reds under Brendan Rodgers. Hopefully, with his move to the Rams, he can fulfil his potential and even help his side make it back to the Premier League.
