Liverpool haven’t given up hope on signing Olympique Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and are willing to put up a last-minute bid to snatch the quality striker away from Atletico Madrid, according to Liverpool Echo.
The 26-year-old has always been amongst the goals and scored a rather incredible 37 goals for the French side last season. But he does need to move away to continue his development and Anfield would be the perfect place to hone his skills.
With Daniel Sturridge struggling for fitness, Lacazette would be the perfect player to replace the Englishman. The French striker is one of the best finishers in Europe and would certainly add a lot of quality to our frontline.
Even though the La Liga side Atletico Madrid seems to be the destination for the Frenchman, there still is hope from some Liverpool fans about Lacazette joining the Reds and here are some of the best Twitter reactions on this rumour.
