After a long and hard campaign, the boys are off for some well-deserved break. Philippe Coutinho and Alberto Moreno were spotted together enjoying their holiday in Brazil. It won’t be long before the pre-season starts ahead of another Premier League campaign, so the duo is taking the chance to soak up some sun before the action starts in earnest.
Though players usually choose to spend their holidays away from their teammates, who they spend almost 9 months of a year with, Coutinho and Moreno have flown to Brazil together along with their families.
The pair and their families headed back to Coutinho’s native Brazil to soak up some of the sights, including a trip to see the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio De Janeiro.
Coutinho and his wife Aime also posed for a picture with their daughter Maria, as well as Moreno, his partner Lilia Granadilla and his daughter, with the famous Copacabana beach in the background.
Later on, both Coutinho and Moreno sent a message to Liverpool team-mate Roberto Firmino as they continued their travel to the forward’s hometown of Maceio.
Coutinho had a stellar campaign which saw him score 14 goals and provide 9 assists in all competitions. However, Moreno had a disappointing season where he managed to rack up just 18 appearances with a total of 800 minutes odd on the pitch.
While the team will continue to be built around Coutinho for the years to come, it remains to be seen what Moreno’s future is going to be.
Maybe we’ll find out once the boys are back in training?
