18 Goals In 36 Games – Liverpool Express Interest To Sign Bundesliga Hotshot Along With Tottenham

SportBILD claims that Liverpool are one of a handful of clubs interested in signing TSG Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric.

The 26-year-old had a great season with the Bundesliga side as he notched up 18 goals in 36 games. The Croatian moved to Leicester City in 2014 but struggled to perform for the Foxes and joined Hoffenheim on loan during the 2015-16 season.

With Daniel Sturridge close to an exit, we have been in the market for a quality finisher and Kramaric does fit the bill, even though he struggled with Leicester City.

We also require some cover for the likes of Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi but Kramaric might not want to move, given that he would play second-fiddle to the pair. The World Cup is nearing and spending more time on the bench rather than on the pitch would be detrimental to the Hoffenheim striker’s chances of representing Croatia.

There is also interest from Tottenham and maybe Spurs could be the club he could move to, given that they need proper cover for Harry Kane. Vincent Janssen has struggled to perform for the Lilywhites and could be leaving the side in the summer.

Kramaric would not want to leave Hoffenheim for a place on the bench. He was one of the best players for the side last season as they made it to the qualifying rounds of the Champions League and will look to lead a young side into the top European club competition.

The Croatian might also be a little tempted not to move to England given his problems last time around but we have seen experienced players do well in their second stint in the Premier League such as Kevin de Bruyne.

We also need someone better than the other strikers we have in our side. Firmino probably will lead the line once again but there will be a lot of tough competition with Danny Ings also making a return to full fitness.

Ben Woodburn will also be expected to take off from last season’s performances, so signing a striker, unless he is world-class does not make any footballing sense at the moment.

We need a quality centre-back and a left-back soon and that is what Jurgen Klopp and his team should work on.
