Liverpool’s quest for a full-back took them to the French Ligue1, with Dalbert Henrique of Nice emerging as a target. However, their interest is set to end in disappointment as the full-back has apparently decided to join Italian giants Inter Milan.

As per the latest report from renowned Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Brazilian has verbally agreed a transfer with the fallen Italian giants with the Serie A side willing to spend around €20million to get him.

Nice were originally demanding €30million for the 23-year-old, so some negotiations will need to take place between the two parties, but it looks like a deal will be done.

The left-back has a release clause for €30million but that will not stand in the way of the transfer. The Merseyside giants were not the only Premier League side who had interest in the left-back.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City too had been chasing the signature of the coveted Brazilian. Interestingly, the Citizens are yet to equip the left-hand side of their defence while Chelsea and Arsenal do seem to be well equipped in that position.

Dalbert was one of the numerous left-backs who were linked with a move to the Anfield this summer, with the Reds in need of reinforcements in the area. But, now with the Brazilian set to move to Inter Milan, the Reds will have to look elsewhere to make up for that.

Jurgen Klopp’s side last season thrilled everyone with their exploits in the final third but the manager would be the first to admit that problems in the back four pegged back the title challenge.

Alberto Moreno, who was expected to be the answer to the problems, had a difficult time in answering the critics and is now on the verge of leaving the club. England international James Milner deputised in that position last season. Although, the midfielder did more than reasonably well, likely fixture congestion in the coming season means that the position is a problem for the Reds.

Klopp wants to address the concerns this summer before they jet off for the pre-season friendlies. Apart from Henrique, another player who was continuously linked with the Reds is Hull City’s Andy Robertson.

Now with Henrique out of the race, will Robertson be the likely addition at Anfield this season?
