Liverpool Close To Completing Loan Deal For Highly-Rated Youngster – Player To Join Championship Club

Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo is set for loan move to the Championship for the upcoming season. Ojo is rated highly by those at Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp believes it would be beneficial for the player to go out on loan.

The former MK Dons winger, was a part of England’s FIFA U20 World Cup triumph this summer, playing a crucial role in the semi-finals against Italy.

At Liverpool, he hasn’t yet received many first-team opportunities, featuring in the occasional cup games. It is thought that he should move on loan this summer, to gain more first-team opportunities.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that Middlesbrough and Newcastle United are interested in taking Ojo on loan. They claim that Klopp would prefer the player to move to Middlesbrough, who are coached by Garry Monk. The German believes that a move to Boro would benefit him in the long-term.

The Independent reported last month that the player was keen on a move to Newcastle, who are managed by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.

Ojo is on the radar of many clubs this summer, after showing his potential in South Korea, during the U20 World Cup. Burnley are also believed to have expressed an interest in him (Independent

), although Liverpool would prefer him to move to the Championship so that he can receive more game time.

Liverpool rate Ojo highly and hope that his future will be at the club. When Raheem Sterling left Anfield, many thought that Ojo had the potential to replace him. However, he didn’t play in a single Premier League game for the Reds last campaign.

We have already strengthened our attacking options so far this summer. We signed Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke for free. Then, the club completed a club record £36.9million

deal for Roma winger Mohamed Salah.

At the age of 20, Ojo still has time. But he must start playing more first-team football. Ojo is a player who possesses great pace and strength. He has the skill and end-product to go far in the game. Whether he will be at Liverpool this season is another story.

Hopefully, this season turns out to be a great one for him.
