New boy Mohamed Salah might not have played a minute for us yet as his visa issues are getting cleared but he seems to be enjoying pre-season as he took a break from training and took to sightseeing.

The 25-year-old Egyptian uploaded an image on Instagram when he was in Paris on Wednesday and he certainly seems to be enjoying his time in the French capital.

Salah joined us for a club record £36.9 from Serie A giants AS Roma. Bringing the Egyptian in was a mammoth task as the Italian club constantly rejected our bids for the 25-year-old but ultimately relented as we were willing to stump up our price.

The Egyptian does have experience of playing in the Premier League as he was with Chelsea before moving to Italy. However, his spell with the London club was a bit of a disaster and he only got back to his best in Italy, especially with Roma.

Salah Raring To Go For Liverpool

Salah already trained with his new team-mates at Melwood earlier in the week but could not take part in the win over Tranmere. The 25-year-old is expected to have the same impact as Sadio Mane, who was our best player last season.

Last season we struggled to score goals and penetrate defences when Mane was out or even when Coutinho was injured. They were the most creative and bright players for us and Salah should join their ranks and make us a forced to be reckoned with.

The winger’s pace and ability to create chances can mean the difference between a trophy or two and should Klopp add a few more players to the side, we can actually think about picking up silverware.

In Klopp’s first season we reached two cup finals and lost both of them, while last season, we finished in the top four and have the Champions League qualifiers waiting for us.

Salah should play a part in them and hopefully, we can dispatch our opponents with relative ease and dream about facing some of Europe’s big boys and showing them what Liverpool is all about.
