The Emre Can saga takes fresh twists and turns on a daily basis. Earlier, we were led to believe that the German was not going anywhere and that he will sign a new contract with us. However, Tuttosport claim that Juventus are confident of signing the former Bayer Leverkusen man.
That is in stark contrast to the stance we are holding, as Jurgen Klopp recently stated that Can isn’t going anywhere.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo the German added:
“We want to keep him and we’re having good talks.”
Can has just one year left on his contract and if he is to leave next summer, it would be for free and we would lose out on a massive payday. But the German is one for the future and had a stellar end to the previous season. So we would not want to lose out on him either.
