Liverpool started their season in crazy fashion as they initially trailed against Watford before giving away a third goal to end the game 3-3. All the talk was about the Philippe Coutinho and his transfer request but the Reds saw the visit of another old friend, as their poor defending saw them concede the first goal through Stefano Okaka.
Sadio Mane scored a blinder before Abdoulaye Doucoure gave the Hornets the lead again. Roberto Firmino scored from a penalty won by Mohamed Salah to make it 2-2 before Salah got on to the score-sheet himself, as he bundled in Firmino’s lob.
We were set for all three points and had a number of chances to make the scoreline safe but poor defending, again, in the last minute of injury time saw Miguel Britos bundle in a goal, which cost us two points. The start of the season has already been frustrating due to the transfer issues and this again, was another poor start to the league campaign.
