Liverpool Dealt A Blow As Key Midfield Duo Miss Training And Could Miss The Crystal Palace Game

Jurgen Klopp is a worried man. His wish to keep Philippe Coutinho is being tested to the limit as the summer transfer window crawls to the deadline day. On the other hand, he has injury concerns to handle ahead of the weekend Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Latest reports from Ben Dinnery, a freelance injury analyst indicates that Klopp could be without key pair Emre Can and Sadio Mane for this weekend clash via Twitter. He did, however, point out that it could be just a precaution and unless confirmed officially, the pair is available for selection.

Given our Champions League playoff against Hoffenheim to go with the weekend fixture, the Reds could be resting the key pair to ensure they are available for selection on Saturday.

It is very important for Liverpool to win against Palace. Draw at Watford would be viewed as two points lost and we can ill-afford another non-victory against Palace.

With high-profile games against Arsenal and Manchester City waiting in the wings, Klopp knows that he needs his best men in full fitness for this weekend. But, can he afford to risk them half-fit?
