Liverpool In Huge Battle With Man United And Other Rivals To Sign Ligue 1 Star Available For £32 Million

Paris Saint-Germain’s rather surprising decision to put Julian Draxler for sale has created a free for all as a number of clubs are trying to sign the talented 23-year-old. The German had only moved to the French capital at the start of 2017 but with Neymar joining the side, his playing time could be greatly reduced this season.

The former Wolfsburg man is a target for Liverpool, among other clubs, and could be ours for a relatively modest fee of only £32 million. The Mirror

reports that we tried to sign Draxler in the January window but PSG steam-rolled us.

However, Jurgen Klopp does not want to miss another chance for the German and is willing to stump up the cash for one of Germany’s brightest players (Daily Mirror)

There will be a lot of competition for the 23-year-old as Manchester United and Arsenal are also looking to add Draxler to their sides. PSG would be looking at the team that makes the highest bid for the attacker as they have to not only deal with the Neymar transfer fee paid out but are also looking to add another big name to their side.

Kylian Mbappe is the next player for the French side and if they sign him up too, Draxler and a couple of other players could be on the chopping block.

From our point of view, Draxler would be an amazing signing for us and even if Philippe Coutinho stays, bringing in the German would provide us with a lot more quality ahead of a season with a greater number of games.

The 23-year-old can play out wide and also in a central position and for £32 million, he would probably be the bargain of the season.

We do need another attacker that can control the tempo of the game and Draxler is perfect for that role. FSG and Klopp can make this happen, should they want to, and given that our manager is a fan of the former Wolfsburg player, this deal could make us contenders for not only the Premier League title but also for a couple of other trophies too.
