Liverpool Plot Surprise Move To Sign €35million Bayern Munich Midfielder – German Reports

Renato Sanches has failed to live up to the expectations that many had about him when he made a big money move to Bayern Munich. The former Benfica star hasn’t played regularly for the Bavarian giants and there have been rumours that he is all set for a move away from the club.

A report from Kicker (h/t Goal Germany) claims that the Munich giants still believe Sanches will become a great player in the future and that they are willing to let him leave on loan. The 19-year-old is a major target for Liverpool but the Merseyside giants will face a lot of competition from a number of other clubs.

Roma, Chelsea, Manchester United and AC Milan are all interested in the midfielder and are willing to take him on loan. However, we are desperate for a quality midfielder and could provide the youngster with a lot of playing time.

The €35million signing for Bayern only played in 17 Bundesliga games last season, with most of them coming as substitute appearances. He does need to play regularly as the World Cup would be coming and the youngster would want to cement a place in the national side.

Looking at our side, we don’t have a lot of options for the attacking midfielder’s role and Sanches would be a perfect fit for that. The 19-year-old can even play the role of a box-to-box midfielder and would provide cover for the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana. The duo is injured at the moment and the sooner Jurgen Klopp brings in cover for the pair, the better it would be for us.

Looking at the pros of the move, we don’t have to spend a lot of money for the player. The midfielder does need to play regularly and we even have Champions League football to offer.

That, and the fact that Klopp has a great history of working with young players and getting the best out of players who need a bit of a spark to revive their career will come as a bonus.

Sanches would be a great stop-gap for one year until we sign our top targets. Sanches might not be a signing that could stay for long but given our history of injuries and also the Champions League games, we need to bring quality players in and quickly so.
