Liverpool Looking For A Double Raid On Celtic For £50million Hotshot Duo

Liverpool are set to raid Celtic for two of their brightest and youngest talents after another impressive season under Brendan Rodgers. Our former manager might not have won the Premier League but he has ensured that the Hoops have kept the monopoly of the Scottish Premiership in their grasp.

A report from the Mirror claims that we are keeping a track of their left-back Kieran Tierney and their star striker Moussa Dembele. The pair has been incredible for Celtic and it is no surprise that a number of top European clubs want to sign the players up.

The report claims that we sent our scouts to watch them in action during Celtic’s 2-1 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League and that the pair was also scouted by the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal. The pair would not come on the cheap as the report claims they woud be worth a combined £50m.

Tierney and Dembele certainly would add some quality to our side but the question is do we need them?

Another Left-back And A Striker?

In what was an expected deal in the summer, we did sign Andrew Robertson from Hull City but the Scot has not been able to dislodge Alberto Moreno from the side, which again, was a bit of a surprise.

Robertson does provide us with a different playing style when it comes to left-back, as his crossing is impeccable. But he is not as quick as the Spaniard and maybe this is one reason why Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in Tierney, as the 20-year-old could be the player to give competition to Moreno.

Alternatively, the Scot can also play down the right, which would provide competition to Nathaniel Clyne and also Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, Celtic have now moved to secure the future of Tierney by tying him down on a new 6-year deal. This would certainly make it difficult for us to sign the youngster.

Dembele was one of the best players in the Championship before he was snapped up by Celtic, from Fulham. The striker can play in a number of positions and Klopp could certainly use a quick and mobile forward given our playing style.

The 21-year-old could be the player to replace Roberto Firmino and he would possibly provide more than Daniel Sturridge up front.

It will be a tough task to get the pair from the Scottish champions but the players have to move to a more competitive league if they want to fulfill their potential.

Liverpool certainly has one of the best coaches in the world who is willing to give young players a chance. That, and playing for one of the most exciting sides in England might be too much to resist for the pair.
