Liverpool Fans Can Breathe A Sigh Of Relief As Midfielder Could Be Back From Injury At The Right Time

Adam Lallana is taking the next steps to continue his rehabilitation from a thigh injury he picked up before the start of the season. The 29-year-old was one of our most impressive players last season but he injured himself during the pre-season Audi Cup and is yet to feature for us this campaign.

The Englishman has been sorely missed, thanks to his incredible running and movement and of course, his link-up play with the forward line. The former Southampton man is now ready to take part in a 90-minute friendly according to the Liverpool Echo

, which will be played behind closed doors.

Should Lallana come out unscathed from the friendly, he should be in line to face his former side, Southampton in the Premier League. The match would be held after the international break and that provides Lallana with ample time to get back to full fitness.

This match would also give our doctors a proper chance to see the Englishman in action. The friendly will feature players (senior and youth) who have not joined their international sides in the break and will be played at Melwood.

Liverpool Getting Their Attackers Back At The Right Time

There is more good news for us regarding the availability of Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho. While the Brazilian has joined his national side for the international break, he should be fit enough to face Southampton too.

Mane, who did play the game against West Ham last time around, should also continue his recovery and it will be great for our team as we could have our strongest side to face a tough Southampton side which is not conceding a lot of goals.

We are yet to see the likes of Lallana and Coutinho, two of our best players, play together this season. However, two other stars, Mane and Salah have been playing together. While Mane is yet to find his shooting boots this season, Salah already has 12 goals to his name and he would be looking to add more once the Premier League resumes.

Lallana could be the key for our team as he can unlock defences with his movement and hopefully, he starts our next Premier League game against the Saints. The addition of the Englishman should make our team more dangerous and that could just be the kick we need in order to crawl back into top four.
