There was good news for Liverpool as Sadio Mane took part in full training. He is ready to play in the game against Southampton on Saturday. The Senegal attacker picked up a slight hamstring injury during the international break and was sent back to Merseyside for further assessment.
The good news for us is that Mane being back could lead to a front three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Mane while Philippe Coutinho could be pulling the strings from the midfield against the Saints.
Mane picked up the hamstring injury in the previous international window and there were fears that he had aggravated the same hamstring injury which kept him out for four weeks. Fortunately, he has made a quick recovery and will now look to pick up from the last game.
Mane was in decent touch when we defeated West Ham 4-1 as he set up two goals but having him back for the tough winter schedule will be a boon for us and that got a lot of Liverpool fans excited as we hope for another convincing win against the Saints.
Mané-man, Mané-man. does whatever a Mané can. scores a goal, anytime. runs the length of the pitch, to scooore…a goal that only Mané caaaan
