Predicted Liverpool Line-up To Face Bournemouth In The Premier League
Despite Liverpool making it to the next round of the Champions League, the mood has been subdued a bit, thanks to three consecutive home draws in the Premier League.
The Reds drew, once again, this time against West Bromwich Albion and even though they felt aggrieved at a handball decision that chalked off Dominic Solanke’s late strike, we just weren’t good enough to get the points against the Baggies.
After losing a lead against Everton, our chance of making it to 2nd place in the league seems tough at the moment but on the bright side, we are only 5th on goal difference and a win at the weekend against Bournemouth could be the perfect recipe to get our stuttering team going.
Klopp didn’t rotate as much in attack as we played with the ‘Fab Four’ of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho but that should change at the Vitality as we predict Liverpool’s starting XI.
Manager: Jurgen Klopp
Formation: 4-3-3
GK – Simon Mignolet
The Belgian should return to the side after missing out on the last game, even though his replacement, Loris Karius kept a clean sheet.
RB – Joe Gomez
Gomez was brought on as a sub in the last game but should start in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold as Klopp continues his rotation policy.
CB – Ragnar Klavan
The Estonian was actually one of our better players last game and with Joel Matip still injured, we should not mess up with the centre-back pairing.
CB – Dejan Lovren
Lovren had a much better game against West Brom and should continue as our second central defender.
LB – Andrew Robertson
There is still no time frame on Alberto Moreno’s return and Robertson should get the nod as our left-back. The Scot didn’t really do much for us in the previous game and should do better at the Vitality.
CM – James Milner
Milner was unused against West Brom and should start in place of either Emre Can or Coutinho, both of who were rather average.
CM – Jordan Henderson
Henderson, unfortunately, cannot be dropped and he will start. Hopefully, he will help out in the attack and not just pass the ball from side to side.
CM – Georginio Wijnaldum
Wijnaldum didn’t start against the Baggies and surprisingly, we seemed to miss him. He should get the nod to start on Sunday.
RW – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Englishman was used as a substitute in our 0-0 draw against West Brom and he might replace Salah in the attack as the former Arsenal man had a decent game.
ST – Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian was another player who had a poor showing at Anfield last time around but hopefully with Bournemouth attacking us, he should be able to find some holes in their defence and score a goal or set up one.
LW – Sadio Mane
Mane’s form has dipped dramatically and the star from last season has to find his scoring boots again. Hopefully, with Salah given a rest, Mane will shine.
