Mohamed Salah has been one of the best signings of the season in the Premier League. The Egypt international has been a revelation for Liverpool after joining from Roma in the summer, on a club-record deal worth £36.9m, scoring 15 goals to top the Premier League scoring charts alongside Harry Kane at Christmas.

After taking the Premier League by storm, Salah has set his sights on winning titles with the Anfield club.

In an interview on Sky Sports News, Salah said:

“I am always saying I want to win titles here. I came here to win titles. To win something for the club, for us, for the fans. I would love to win something here.

“We are working hard every day to win something and I am sure we will this year.”

When asked about his favourite goal, the Egypt international claimed:

“The goal against Southampton was good and Everton I like a lot. Watford was a special moment too.

“It was a good feeling to start with a goal in the Premier League and I wanted to do it in the first game. But it has to be Everton because I am using everything for this goal – power, skill, finishing. That’s my best goal so far.”

Salah, who has formed a potent attacking partnership with Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane at Liverpool, has already been heavily linked with a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid.

Due to his blistering form, it’s no surprise that the diminutive attacker has turned heads all across Europe. The Egyptian also scooped the African Player of the Year award for his outstanding contribution for club and country, as Egypt booked their place in next summer’s World Cup.

Salah’s keen eye for goal is something Liverpool have not had since Luis Suarez’s departure. Goal-scoring wingers are a rare breed and once you get your hands on one, you must do all you can to retain them. And that’s what Klopp is expected to do with Salah, who has also found an admirer in Real manager Zinedine Zidane.

But after the interview, it appears Salah is happy at Anfield. It looks like he wants to stay with the Reds for a long period of time and of course, win titles.
