Liverpool seem set to lose Philippe Coutinho and while that won’t be going down well with a number of fans, the club seems to be on the hunt for replacements, with Thomas Lemar being one of the touted players. The Frenchman was one of Monaco’s best players last season but he has not been at his best this season and that is one reason why a number of fans are not sure about his success in England.
One player whose name has been doing the rounds regarding a move to a bigger club is Riyad Mahrez. The Leicester City forward has been in great form this season, even after a poor campaign last time around. The Algerian has scored 7 goals and 7 assists in the Premier League and could finally make the big switch, to Liverpool, at least that is what the fans hope.
Coutinho’s departure would be a major blow for us but Mahrez has shown he can perform well in the Premier League and he might just be the right player for us as we look to get another attacking spark for our side next season.
Twitter was lit up with a number of Liverpool fans asking us to sign Mahrez and here are just a few of them.
LFC should make it hard for Barca now, but if Couti goes, we need to get a replacement, maybe Mahrez is an option

Really hope we don’t lose Coutinho in Jan but have a feeling we will. Though I think it will be a big mistake on his behalf as something special is happening at #LFC. If he does go then we have to get Mahrez in, such a class player & PL proven. What will be will be. #YNWA

I think Coutinho probably goes in the summer to Barca. Wouldn’t mind #LFC testing the waters for Mahrez.
— LaneMcCann (@LaneMcCann) January 1, 2018
My 5 cents: Coutinho will leave Liverpool next summer. Buying Naby Keïta and possibly Mahrez suggests they don’t think Coutinho is a long time option anymore.
Whether that will be to FC Barcelona, thru an agreement set this month for summer or to another club is yet to be known.

I’d have Mahrez at Liverpool.
— Kop Talk (@KopTalk28) January 1, 2018
It doesn’t matter if Phil Coutinho move to Barcelona if we buy Riyad Mahrez for the substitution. He’s the one who can fit Cou’s position @LFC
— Vicko Oktavianto (@vickooktavianto) January 1, 2018
Coutinho out, Mahrez in and enough profit to pay for Van Dijk with the spare change? That suddenly seems like a decent deal for Liverpool in this transfer window.
— RAYLFC (@Rabih_Yaghi) January 2, 2018
If Coutinho goes to Barca then Liverpool MUST go in for Riyad Mahrez
— Mario Gomez (H) (@KalNaimar) January 2, 2018
Liverpool shld go for mahrez Will Be the best replacement not lanzini or lemar

Why am i seeing Liverpool fans mentioning Mahrez as a possible Coutinho replacement? Mahrez isn’t a central fucking midfielder plus he’s isn’t even that good.
— Raz (@EgyptianBa11er) January 2, 2018
If you’re a Liverpool fan and you want us to buy Mahrez you should have a seriously good look at yourselves. One excellent season in his entire career.

Liverpool target doesn’t rule out moving to the Premier League in the future
Christian Pulisic hasn’t ruled out playing in the Premier League someday. The American is one of the best youngsters in the Bundesliga and was brought to Borussia Dortmund by Jurgen Klopp.
Pulisic was quoted by the Express as saying:
“England, the Premier League, is a league where lots of kids dream of playing.
“So there is no reason why maybe one day I won’t play here.”
The Express adds that Klopp bid £11million for the American in 2016 but Dortmund rejected that offer. Pulisic has helped the club to the top of the Bundesliga this season and has two goals and two assists.
The report adds that Manchester United are also interested in the 20-year-old, and could rival any bid made by the Anfield giants.
The American added that he is enjoying his season with the Germans and knows that tabloid tales are part of the game.
Pulisic would be a wonderful addition to the team, and the youngster can play in a number of positions in the attacking third.
The 20-year-old would not come on the cheap, however, Klopp can make the American better at Anfield. It will be interesting to see what happens in the winter window, and if we get Pulisic, it would be the blockbuster deal of the January window,
“Looks sad, unwilling”, “Cheer up mate” – Some Liverpool fans believe star attacker is unhappy playing for national side
Mohamed Salah was recently in the news after being caught wearing a Playboy shirt. While many commented on his style, the Egyptian posted yet another image before the international break.
Salah is set to play for Egypt in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tunisia on Friday, and the pressure would be on the Liverpool man to get the three points for the Pharaohs.
The Liverpool attacker shared an image suggesting he was ready to play for the national side.

However, some of his Twitter followers weren’t happy with the picture he selected and believed the 26-year-old was unhappy playing for the Pharaohs.
Salah has been exceptional for club and country in recent years with Egypt making it to the World Cup in the summer.
The Reds reached the Champions League final but Salah had to be subbed after 30 minutes due to an injury.
The 26-year-old has 11 goals for club and country this season and will be important for both sides throughout the campaign.
However, the fans weren’t letting go of the picture easily, and here are some of their reactions from Twitter.
lol the pic tells about how you feel joining national duty

Liverpool target’s agent claims player is happy at current club
Ousmane Dembele’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, has claimed that the Frenchman is not looking to leave Barcelona.
“The club is happy with Ousmane.
“Dembele doesn’t care about criticisms. Some of them are unfair. He is 20, he plays for Barcelona and he had a great start to the season.”
The agent further claimed that the player has to do better and the Frenchman was sick for a while which led to a few controversies.
Sissoko added that the national team manager and Barcelona’s Eric Abidal were happy with the attacker.
“Ousmane keeps working for a big club, the manager likes him and the same goes for Deschamps. I know Abidal is also very happy with how he is training and working for his club.”
Dembele seems to be doing better when compared to the same time frame last season. The Frenchman has scored four goals from 11 La Liga games and has one from two Champions League ties.
The former Borussia Dortmund player would be an amazing signing for the Reds, but we would have to pay a huge amount to sign him from Barcelona.
The 21-year-old would certainly improve our attack, and it will be interesting to see what our activity would be in the winter window.
