Inter Milan have offered a significant loan fee for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, according to latest reports. The 28-year-old England striker has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season, with him making only five starts for us this season.

Sturridge’s time at Anfield has been hampered by injuries and that has seen him fail to nail a regular place in our gaffer’s starting XI. He has generally been out of form ever since an injury-ravaged 2014/15 campaign badly stalled his extremely promising career.

The striker is now considering his options as he aims to have his own World Cup aspirations ahead of Russia 2018 this summer. The BBC report that Inter have already opened up discussions with Liverpool over a potential permanent transfer at the end of the season and are willing to pay his wages should a loan move materialise this month.

Spanish side Sevilla are also thought to be interested in making a move for the Reds striker but have not made an offer yet. Liverpool will not try to push their player out this month and are happy for Sturridge to remain at the club. The decision now rests with Sturridge, as his future now lies either on Merseyside or in Milan.

Despite failing to provide the Englishman ample opportunities this season, Klopp has indicated he would be happy for Sturridge to stay put at Anfield and be a squad option, with the club still fighting for trophies on three fronts.

Transfer News Live tweeted on the speculation surrounding Sturridge, citing that Inter have made an offer to take the forward on loan for a fee of around £1.5m.

The fans had their say on it and we bring you the best tweets we came across.
