With spirits high after their midweek victory of Huddersfield Town, it’s perhaps unsurprising that several members of the Liverpool squad were in a delightful mood.

Emre Can, a goalscorer against Huddersfield on Tuesday, was joined by teammates Gini Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane for some carpool karaoke. Can drove with Wijnaldum in the passenger seat and Mane at the back, as they travelled from Anfield to the club’s Melwood training ground.

While the German took the wheels, he was collectively picked as the best-looking player inside the car.

“Even on a bad day you look good!” joked Wijnaldum, who took the centre-stage as he led the way with his rendition of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.

Mane, sporting a red cap and a camouflage jumper, opted not to sing, and just sat back and enjoyed it all. When Wijnaldum insisted that he was the most intelligent person, the Senegalese argued against it.

Wijnaldum looked to be funniest amongst the trio and presented a Bob Marley classic – Three Little Birds. And before the journey came to an end, the Liverpool fans were given an insight into the Dutchman’s voice as he sang the club anthem and convinced Can to join him.

Just for a good measure, the trio had an amazing time as they sang, rapped, discussed on various things during the trip. Other insights come in the form of the biggest moaner and a blank call to a teammate. Watch the video below.

The Reds had a forgettable last week as the boys first lost 1-0 to Swansea City at Liberty Stadium, before getting dumped out of the FA Cup by West Brom. Those were chastening defeats and getting eliminated from the FA Cup was a tough pill to swallow.

We needed a reaction, like our gaffer Jurgen Klopp called out for and the team reacted in a stunning way, beating Huddersfield comfortably by a 3-0 margin. It was a kind of reaction which Klopp would be proud of and the German manager would now expect our team to start gaining momentum.
