Liverpool handed massive transfer boost as on-loan Real Madrid superstar is ready to join the Reds

In what could be a major transfer boost for Liverpool, one of the brightest stars from the last World Cup has stated that he wants to join the Premier League giants. James Rodriguez, who is on loan at Bayern Munich, seems to have made up his mind and wants to play for the Reds from next season.

The 26-year-old signed for Real Madrid after the 2014 World Cup but things have not gone right for the Colombian and a loan to Bayern Munich seems to have got his career back on track.

The two-year deal might be a little different from the normal loan deals but Rodriguez is ready to cut short this deal and make a permanent move to Anfield.

Rodriguez has received another lease on life at the Bavarian club as new manager Jupp Heynckes has made the former Porto man a pivotal player in the side. The 26-year-old has scored 4 goals and provided 6 assists in the Bundesliga.

The report is carried by Diario Gol. The Colombian would certainly add a lot of attacking firepower to our club but is he really going to make a move to Liverpool in the summer?

A Quality Player But Will He Fit In The Jurgen Klopp Mould?

While we have lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, there is a need to replace him but Jurgen Klopp has stated that he would not be making any rash buys and unfortunately, Rodriguez might not be the player who would solve our problems.

The Colombian isn’t known for his defensive work either and Real won’t let him go on the cheap either as the La Liga giants might want to cash in on a player that might do well at the Bavarian club.

Bayern too would not be looking to lose out on a player that should be at the club for another season after the upcoming World Cup.

The rumour might also be a fabricated one as we had seen at the start of the season regarding the future of Philippe Coutinho.

One thing is a certainty, we do have a lot of Coutinho money to spend and it will be interesting to see if we do spend all of it in getting the right replacement for the Brazilian star.
