Liverpool are reportedly ready to reward star attacker Mohamed Salah with a bumper new contract and he is expected to sign it happily.

The Egyptian has been a revelation since joining the Reds at the start of the season from AS Roma in a £34million deal. And Salah has made a mockery of that money by banging a whopping 31 goals in all competitions in his debut season at Anfield.

The winger’s prolific form in front of goal has lifted the Reds to third in the Premier League standings, 2 points below second-placed Manchester United. Well, that isn’t the only case; Salah has also helped Liverpool smash FC Porto 5-0 in the first leg of Champions League round of 16 and that has seen our club in the driver’s seat to qualify for the quarterfinals of the competition.

The Egyptian, alongside the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, has formed a deadly attacking trio that has seen Liverpool rip apart teams left, right and centre.

After Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona last month, Salah has taken the centre-stage and has duly delivered the goods for the Merseysiders, becoming the club’s new talisman. Salah’s revelation at Liverpool has seen Europe’s top clubs sit back and take notice.

Real Madrid are reportedly one of the interested clubs ready to up their efforts in a bid to sign him next season. It is no surprise to see that the Reds have already started planning to secure the ex-Roma attacker’s future at the club.

The IndyKaila reports Liverpool are set to offer a lucrative contract to the high-flying winger in order to fend off any interest from Real in the summer.

“Liverpool to start new contract talks with Mo Salah. The player is very happy at Anfield & is ready to sign a new contract,” IndyKaila tweeted.

It is suggested the negotiations would be done swiftly as the Egyptian is happy at the club and will sign the contract without any hesitation. According to the Express, Salah could be joined by the likes of Firmino and Mane in signing the contract, as the duo is also keen to extend its stay at Anfield.

Happy times ahead for Liverpool and the fans as Salah could potentially extend his stay at the club.
