Liverpool are interested in signing Manchester City youngster Javairo Dilrosun, according to a report from O Jogo (h/t MSN). The report claims that we are among a number of top European clubs looking to sign the youngster in the summer as his contract is coming to an end at Man City.

We have been linked with the player before but no deal was completed for the winger. However, we are ready to sign him up in the upcoming transfer window.

The youngster has risen up the ranks at Manchester City after joining them from Ajax in 2014. The 19-year-old has not played a single match for the first-team but he could be another player to leave the side, looking for more playing time.

The Netherlands U19 international might want to move to a new club for more football but it will be tough for him to get first-team action at Liverpool. The likes of Ben Woodburn, Rhian Brewster and Ryan Kent have not been able to break into our first-team and it would be tough for Dilrosun to do the same at Anfield.

The report also claims that the versatile winger was at Benfica last week, trying to finalise a deal for the 19-year-old to move to the Portuguese side.

Bundesliga’s Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Italian champions Juventus and La Liga’s Valencia all want a shot at signing the starlet and it could be a busy summer for the 19-year-old if things go his way.

On His Way To Becoming One Of The Best But Not At Liverpool

We might not have a lot of first-team cover, so that is something Jurgen Klopp would want to look at in the summer. Dilrosun would be down the pecking order if he joins us and that might not be a promising situation for the winger.
