The Champions League quarterfinal draw is out and well, it isn’t the best of results for Liverpool. While we were hoping for an easy tie, we got paired with Manchester City.
We might be the only club to have defeated Manchester City in the Premier League this season but with the tie coming at the start of April, City would probably be champions of England and could rest a few players before the first leg at Anfield.
We would have to play a fantastic game to beat City, like we did 4-3 at Anfield but memories of the 5-0 mauling at the Etihad will remain fresh and if we avoid that, there could be a chance of us making it to the next round.
Jurgen Klopp will have to work extra hard if we are to make it to the semi-finals of the Champions League and if we do defeat the Cityzens, then we could be one of the favourites to pick up the title.
With Real Madrid facing Juventus, Barcelona taking on Roma and Sevilla facing Bayern Munich, all three Spanish sides avoided each other but there were a few that claimed the draw was rigged to favour the La Liga sides.
City would be coming to Anfield on 4th April while we travel to the Etihad on the 10th. Hopefully, we will progress to the next round but for now, here are some of the best reactions from the fans.

Madrid, Barca, Juve & Munich all have that Champions League winning experience of getting to these final rounds which Man City don’t.
It will be a tough tough tie but one that is not one to be too fearful of #LFC

ALL the pressure is on City. They’ve spent so much more, have set a precedent on themselves this season whilst this is our first season back in the Champions League. Bring it on.

Not going to lie though, this is the first time I’ve truly felt nervous for a European tie since about 2009…and I love the thrill of it.
This is what it’s all about.
Up the Reds.
