Liverpool might be looking forward to the Champions League clash against Manchester City with a lot of hopes but they also have to keep an eye out for the Premier League and the race for a top-four finish.

A loss at the hands of Manchester United, coupled with a win for Tottenham saw us slip to 4th in the table and our next assignment would be a clash against Watford at Anfield.

We all will remember how that first game of the Premier League season went as the Hornets stung us late to claim a 3-3 draw but we have to show our steel and resolve and win this clash at Anfield.

Most of our players were preparing for the game and took part in the training. One of the major talking point seems to be Adam Lallana’s absence but we did have most of our stars ready and raring to go.

Our front three seemed to be in a great mood and they would be looking to do a lot of damage and vent out some of their frustration after being unable to score against David de Gea at Old Trafford last week.

One major positive from the training session seems to be Nathaniel Clyne coming back to fitness. We have missed the England international due to his back problem and him returning during this crucial time will be important for us as we look to finish in the top four and also go far in the Champions League.

We also got to see some of our young players in play and with Dominic Solanke and Trent Alexander-Arnold not really impressing at Old Trafford, they could do some damage to the opposition at Anfield.

Virgil van Dijk and Jurgen Klopp too seemed to be in great mood ahead of the clash against the Hornets but we cannot take them lightly. They might have sacked their manager midway through the season but they are one of the most inconsistent sides and with the likes of Troy Deeney and Richarlison in their side, you never know what might be in store.

We have a 4-point lead over Chelsea in the race for a top-four spot and it is imperative for us to get the win on Saturday and keep our chase for a Champions League spot firmly in our hands.
