According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is not considered as a ‘Galactico’ by Real Madrid this summer. Instead, Real are keen on signing Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.

The Egyptian has been a revelation this season for Liverpool since joining the club from AS Roma last summer. Salah has scored 36 goals across competitions in his debut season with the Reds and Liverpool are not expected to accept any offer for the winger this summer, reports the Liverpool ECHO.

The reigning La Liga champions are 15 points behind arch-rivals Barcelona, with just 9 games to go in the season. Liverpool ECHO claims that Zinedine Zidane will reinforce the squad if he remains Real Madrid’s manager next season but Balague says Salah is not the player that Real are seeking in summer.

“Salah is a difficult one because Real Madrid have no mention of him as a candidate to be a Galactico,” Balague told Sky Sports (h/t Liverpool ECHO)

“You can think there is a market in Egypt and he is a star of the Premier League – he has a lot of things to go for him – but if they get Hazard they won’t need Salah.

“It seems like they wouldn’t put that much money into Salah. The summer is so long and anything can happen. Hazard is desperate to come and (Robert) Lewandowski is desperate to come.”

The winger has been in blistering form for Liverpool and all eyes will be on him in the World Cup when he represents Egypt.

Irrespective of the claims in the media, we must ensure that Salah stays at Anfield for many years. He has been phenomenal and he perfectly fits Klopp’s philosophy.

Salah is our answer to all the talismanic figures at the other big Premier League clubs and he is capable of firing us to the league title next season.
