Liverpool’s star performer this season, Mohamed Salah pranked a group of young Reds supporters in a heartwarming video.
Salah has been breaking records this season but the Egyptian took time out from his busy schedule to spend some time with his fans.
Students from Liverpool schools were invited to compete in a commentary tournament which offered the best pair the chance to meet Salah at a later date.
A group of 20 schoolchildren believed they were taking part in a commentary competition, with former club star Jason McAteer and LFCTV presenter Peter McDowall judging the youngsters’ commentary skills.
What the school students didn’t realise was that the Egyptian goal-machine stood behind a temporary wall, all ready to surprise them.
Watching the Reds’ crushing 4-0 Premier League victory over Arsenal earlier this season, the school kids displayed their commentary skills in pairs.
As Salah ran half the length of the pitch to score against the Gunners back in August, the kids were commentating. Salah then came bursting through the temporary wall to surprise the kids who were left stunned.
The kids were in total shock after seeing their Liverpool hero, with some of the expressions being priceless. While some were awestruck, some others embraced Salah, with the Reds’ star man again showing his humble nature.
Liverpool released the video on YouTube, which is a fantastic watch for all. It was great to see the kids live their dream and Salah seemed to enjoy himself just as much as the kids did.
Watch the video here. I am sure it will make your day.
